What we collect

If you use the enquiry form, we receive your name, phone number, the town or postcode you gave, the type of work, the budget range you selected and whatever you wrote in the details box. An email address too, if you chose to add one. If you ring or email instead, we simply have whatever you tell us.

We do not ask for anything beyond that, and nothing on this site tries to work out who you are in the background.

Why we have it, and the legal basis

We use it to answer your enquiry, price the work and carry out the job if you go ahead. Under UK GDPR that is Article 6(1)(b): taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where an enquiry does not turn into a job, keeping the email for a while afterwards rests on our legitimate interests in having a record of what was discussed and quoted.

Who sees it

Your enquiry arrives in one inbox, info@tckplastering.com, which Terry reads. It does not go to a sales platform, a lead-generation service or any other company, and we never sell it or pass it on for marketing.

The form itself is delivered by the email service that runs this website, which passes the message along and does nothing else with it. Beyond that, our website host and email provider hold the information only as part of providing those services to us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records for six years after the end of the relevant tax year, because tax and contract rules require it.

If you would rather we deleted your details sooner, ask us and we will, unless we are required to keep them.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and nothing following you to other websites.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and cannot follow you across other sites.

Your browser stores one small item for the length of your visit so the site can remember your place on a page when you go back. It holds no information about you and disappears when you close the tab. Our host also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and deal with abuse.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to us holding it. Email info@tckplastering.com and we will deal with it free of charge, normally within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
